So long PyBlosxom. Hello Django.
Along with a long overdue redesign, this site now runs a custom-built weblog application written using the excellent Django web framework. I have wanted to build a Django application for a while, and this simple weblog gave me the perfect opportunity to get my feet wet.
Not all previous entries have been ported over for various reasons. I figure this will not be much of a problem due to the low readership of the site. Likewise, old URLs will not be redirected to their updated counterparts. Syndication URLs are the exception — these will produce a HTTP 301 response (Moved Permanently) so that RSS readers can be updated accordingly.
I hope the modifications will spur me on to post more often, and provide a better experience for my (few) readers. Stay tuned!
